Dr. Pollack is a retina specialist, researcher and educator with a background in biotech/medical device, healthcare data analytics, healthcare market research and nutraceutical startups. He is a Partner with Illinois Retina Associates in Chicago and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Rush University Medical Center. He serves as President of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) and is on the Executive Committee of the Foundation of the ASRS. In 1999, Dr. Pollack co-founded the annual ASRS Preferences and Trends Survey which continues to serve as a leading assessment of global retina practice patterns. Dr. Pollack has served as Director or Invited Faculty at numerous scientific meetings, published extensively, and has participated in numerous clinical studies in a variety of roles including study chairperson, principle investigator and co-investigator. He serves on the Board of Directors of Notal Vision, Inc. and the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness and has co-founded 3 physician-focused companies since 2004, including Vestrum Health, Covalent Medical, and Clarus Acuity Group.
