Shawn O’Neil is an ophthalmic industry veteran who currently leads the commercial strategy for ViaLase, Inc. Shawn has spent more than 27 years in both ophthalmology and optometry commercializing products in both large cap strategic organizations as well as start-up organizations.

During his tenure, he was responsible for developing commercial teams and strategies to launch novel and disruptive technologies including the Opti-Free RepleniSH Multi-Purpose Solution, EX-PRESS Glaucoma Filtration Device, LenSx Laser System, CyPass Micro-Stent for glaucoma, OMNI Surgical System, TearCare System and now the ViaLase femtosecond laser.

Shawn earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University.
