Former CEO, TLC Vision
Jim recently completed his role as CEO and Board Member for Men’s Health Group Holdings, Inc, a company focused on providing customized medicine approaches to improve performance in men. Jim serves as the Chairman of the Refractive Surgery Council, a group comprised of industry manufacturers and Ophthalmologists focused on reviving the Lasik surgery industry.
From 2014 to 2016, he served as President of Precision Eye Services working closely with Precision Lens to develop a mobile femtosecond and cataract services business.
From 2009 to 2014, Jim served in a variety of venture backed healthcare start-ups in Ophthalmology, Medical Technology and Pharmacy Services with organizations such as SV Life Sciences, where he served as a Venture Partner, Bain Healthcare Ventures and FTL Capital.
From 2004 to 2009, Jim served as President and Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of TLC Vision, (TLC), a national provider of laser vision correction, cataract services, and optometric services. Jim was named President and Chief Operating Officer of TLC in 2002 after its predecessor company, Laser Vision Centers (LVCI), was acquired. He had served President and Chief Operating Officer of LVCI from 1996 to the sale to 2002.
Jim started his 34-year healthcare career at American Hospital Supply (McGaw Division) as a sales representative, rising to the Vice President of infusion device division before becoming one of the founding executives of Central Admixture Pharmacy Services (CAPS), a pharmacy compounding service partnering with large hospital systems and home infusion companies.
