Laurent Attias is a member of the Executive Committee of Alcon (ECA). In his role as Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Strategy, BD&L and M&A, Mr. Attias leads the corporate development strategy for Alcon which includes all Business Development and Licensing (BD&L), Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities.

Previously, as Senior Vice President of Global Commercial Franchises and Strategy, Mr. Attias lead all commercial execution and pipeline activities of Alcon’s Surgical, Pharmaceutical and Vision Care franchises.

During more than 20 years at Alcon, Mr. Attias progressed through general management operational responsibilities as well as Marketing and Sales roles. Starting in 2002, Mr. Attias lead the Laser Refractive business of Alcon as Vice President and General Manager.

In 2007, Mr. Attias served as President/General Manager of Alcon Canada. In 2009, he moved to Europe to assume the role of Vice President, Central & Eastern Europe, Italy and Greece. In 2010, Mr. Attias was promoted to President, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Mr. Attias holds both a Bachelor of business administration in marketing and an MBA from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
