Vartan Ghazarossian, PhD, has over 35 years of experience in the healthcare technology sector serving various positions, including CEO/President. His expertise includes identification of new product opportunities, starting up and operating both new and existing companies, securing venture and corporate financing, strategic planning, new business and market development, management of intellectual property, company operations, and M&A. His corporate experience spans across medical device, AI-enabled software, biopharmaceuticals, bio-analytical, immunodiagnostics and cell-based technology sectors.

Dr. Ghazarossian is the Founder, and currently serves as CEO of StepWise Medical, LLC, an accelerator created in 2017 to foster technology innovations in ophthalmology. StepWise Medical has created 6 new companies to date: Visant Medical, Inc., Amaros, Inc., Arya Medical, Inc., Octavia Medical, Inc., TearOptix, Inc.

Dr. Ghazarossian obtained his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed his post-doctoral studies in pharmacology at the Addiction Research Foundation under the guidance of Professor Avram Goldstein (affiliated with Stanford University). He has co-authored 45 scientific papers and abstracts and holds close to 30 patents.
